Linley will provide prizes for the winner of the cruising division and the winner of the performance division respectively. The prizes are two of their signature pieces; the anniversary fruit bowl in rosewood with sterling silver insert and hallmarked detailing.
John Mellows and his company Azure Dragon have created two bespoke trophies for 2nd and 3rd prize overall of the regatta. They have been handcrafted in the form of sail sculptures made of polished stainless steel. He says “I firmly believe that, given the time, commitment and money that goes into yacht racing the prizes should reflect the effort involved. The prizes should be worth winning”.
Bobby Nash & his company Latitude Kinsale will create five 3D chart™ prizes for line honours for each day of the regatta. Bobby’s unique 3D chart™ creations are nautical charts layered to show the depth contours of any chosen coastline in three dimensions. The prizes will be based on the NE coast of Sardinia showing the Arcipelago Di La Maddalena using both modern and classic B&W charts, we are promised that the pieces will be stunning – just like the location and the regatta.
IMA boats will also be competing for the IMA trophy during the regatta.
